Ahoy, Girlguiding Somerset Leaders!
Are you ready for an adventure on the water? We’re thrilled to invite you and your Brownies, Guides, and Rangers to a fantastic day of sailing and fun. It takes place at Durleigh Sailing Centre on Sunday, 22 June 2025.
Imagine the wind in your hair and the thrill of sailing Somerspirit. It’s a brilliant opportunity to try something new, build confidence, and create unforgettable memories. Plus, it’s a perfect chance to connect with leaders and girls from across our county.
What’s happening?
We’ve organised two exciting sessions:
- Morning Session: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
- Afternoon Session: 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Each session can accommodate 40 participants, so don’t delay – spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis!
The day will kick off with an essential safety briefing followed by the chance to hop aboard and experience the joy of sailing.
When they’re not out on the water, your Brownies, Guides, and Rangers can enjoy a variety of engaging land-based activities from the ‘Mayday, Mayday’ resource.
This is a great opportunity to earn the ‘Mayday, Mayday’ badge. Leaders can buy these directly from the Girlguiding South West England shop. Alternatively, add them to your booking and we’ll order them for you.
And of course, we’ll keep everyone refreshed with complimentary drinks throughout the day.
The details:
- Cost: £10 per Brownie, Guide, or Ranger. This includes a special Somerspirit badge! Leaders attend for free.
- Payment: Full payment is required upon confirmation of your booking and must be received no later than 24 May 2025. Please note that payments are non-refundable.
