Do you want to make ever lasting memories with like minded girls?

If you are a Guide, Ranger or Young Leader who was born between 31 August 2009 and 1 July 2014, you can apply for INTOPS selection for trips taking place in summer 2028.

You will be required to attend the following event:

County wide selection weekend:

  • Date: Friday 5 March (6pm) to Sunday 7  March 2027 (midday)
  • Location: Stoke St Gregory Village Hall, Taunton, Somerset

If successful, you will be invited to attend the:

Region INTOPS Selection weekend:

  • Date: July 2026.
  • Location: to be confirmed

This is a truly “open application” – the person completing this form should be the Guide, Ranger, Young Leader who wishes to take part in this international opportunity.  When we receive your application, we will ask for a reference from your Unit Leader.  We’ll share the reference This will then be shared with your Division Commissioner for any additional input/comments.

If successful and you are selected, both at county and region level, the potential cost for the trip can range from £1000 – £4000.  Girls are encouraged to fundraise towards this expense.  Support and guidance can and will be provided as to ways to complete this.

Applications will close on Sunday 31 January 2027.

References will be requested, and individuals will be notified by Friday 12 February 2027 if they have a space on the county selection weekend.

Please note: We can accommodate up to 20 girls only – if there is more interest than spaces, we will have to complete a selection based on applications and references.

If selected, you’ll have the chance to experience an international event in the summer of 2027.

How to apply

  • Check you are eligible. You must have been born between 31 August 2009 and 1 July 2014.
  • County Selection: Attend the weekend selection event from 5-7 March 2027.
  • Region Selection: If chosen, join in the region selection event in July 2027.
  • Region International: If chosen at the Region Selection, take part in an International event in summer 2028.
